A question about zits?

I have bad skin

and i feel like i have tried everything

any suggestions ?A question about zits?
Combating acne invovles a few processes, depending on your skin type, age and severity of acne.

Firslty it's not just what goes on your face but what goes in it as well. Junk food doesnt necessarily cause acne, but it is low in nutrients. Vitamins and minerals, especially zinc magnesium and vitamin E are important fo supporting healthy skin. Aim for your two fruit and five veg a day, lean meats and salmon is meant to be great for skin as well as its full of omega-3 fats, good fats that are good for your skin as well.

Secondly drink that water!! Two litres of water a day to keep the skin hydrated. If you are dehydrated your skin will produce extra sebum oil in attempt to lubricate and hydrate your skin, and that extra oil is what contributes to pores getting blocked and causing acne.

That leads me to my third suggestion of not overwashing your face! The same thing happens, you remove all your natural oils and te skin becomes dry, so your face produces extra oil to try and compensate.

Fourth suggestion is using medicated but MILD cleansers, do not use harsh chemicals on your skin because they can again dry your face out and cause more problems then they solve. Trying using hypoallergenic washes that contain a little bit of byrenzol peroxide or cyclic acid, but a little bit, be gentle to your face!

Fifth suggeston is that at least once a week you still exfoliate, tone and moisturise. Exfoliating removes dead skin particles that can get trapped in pores and cause pimples. The toning helps lift away those dead skin cells and gives the pores a little extra clean out and moisturising helps nourish the new skin.

Sixth is DO NOT SQUEEZE! Tempting I know! but you will cause serious scarring that is pretty hard to get rid of.

Seven is aviod wearing make up when you can, i know you would love to cover up the acne all the time, but it can clog your pores and just cause a vicious cycle of creating more pimples so you wear more make up which causes more pimples....etc etc.

Eight is to exersise!! Getting the blood circulating to your skin is fantastic for it because all your nutrients are delivered via the blood system. Also, getting up a sweat naturally cleans out those pores as the sweat flushes out the pores and the sodium in your sweat is a good cleanser, but you must remember to shower immediatly after and to never wear make up when you exersise.

Nine if acne is really serious, see a doctor, there are medications out there that can help serious acne suffers. In saying that still follow the steps I have listed as using them along with medication will result in a much better outcome.

Ten you need to remember that there is no quick fix to treating acne any treatment takes at least two months before you really see improvements and results so be patient and give it time.

Acne is a bacteria that needs to be killed. Witch Hazel is also works great.. it is a little smelly, but you can use a cotton ball or wash cloth. It will tke away the oiliness. `Tea Tree Oil will kill out the bacteria or weaken it enough not to bother you. Apply it to the effected areas with a q-tip or cotton ball after you have washed.

You should get a good multivitamin(highly suggest) with vitamin a,c,e,d and zinc.. this should help tons! Eating carrots also helps.. there is beta-carotene (Vitamin A) in them which helps prevent acne and repair the skin. Take zinc, zinc is a antibacterial agent. Make sure to dink plenty of water and get good rest at night.

Azelaic Acid is a great natural acid that reduces the growth of bacteria, restores the skins cells and reduces inflammation. Try using a topical with Azelaic Acid in it.. it is safe.

Also, change/wash your pillow case and sheets every other day.

There are ways to put moisture back into your skin and heal it, such as: drinking lots of water, making sure you are eating enough fat/omega-3 oils. Lotions with mineral oil can dry out the skin, use one with out it! Emu Oil ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emu_oil ) contains vitamin A and E, Sapogens ( makes skin softer), and Oleic acid (a skin cell regenerator, anti-wrinkel agent) - walgreens sells emu oil.. i would think walmart would as well.
Ooo I know the feeling, my skin is bad too

I'm using Garnier 3 in 1 wash stuff, dunno if u have seen it advertised before but i do think that helps for my skin

And I'm also using Clearisil Ultra Spot Cream. Thing is, my skin would be a hell lot worse if i didn't use it.

Dunno if u have used the Freederm products but they didn't work for me (but that just might be my skin being odd lol)

Also try exercising and drinking plenty of water, helps clear the skin.

Can also try mud masks too, love using them

Hope this helps and good luck =)
Cetaphil oily skin cleanser really helps me. But it all depends on your skin type. Do you have oily/dry/normal/or combination skin? Also in your daily routine there should be 3 steps: Cleansing, Fixing, Mosturizing. I don't use much mosturizer tho since I have oily skin. Good luck!
i used to get pimples too.

i found that just washing my face everyday with a normal face soap helped get rid of them.

if you actually have really bad skin, you could go to a skin care doctor and get some perscription acne care.
Wash your face with warm water in the morning, and hottish water at night. Only use face wash in the shower, were you can get all the soap off your skin and out of your tear ducts. This might be clogging your skin.
Depends on how bad it is. I went on Accutane when I was about 18 for cystic acne. I have perfect smooth skin now.
