Do we get more zits due to humidity???

If you are having a period of acne it's hormones (stress)

and heat doesn't always help if you are suffering - and your face is dirty.

During the humid months the less is best is a good choice with make up - try a mineral powder foundation -

Keep your skin super clean with an acne wash *during break outs*

a toner (witch hazel + vitamins)

and a spf cream that is light and will not clog your pores.

Exfoliate twice a week and do a weekly mask

by keeping on top of your face the weather is about what you wear. :O)Do we get more zits due to humidity???
no..but we get more zits due to fats in food..understand

Does coconut oil treat zits?

If so, how do you use it?Does coconut oil treat zits?
NODoes coconut oil treat zits?
I heard that too so I tried it and it DOES work. I use unrefined organic coconut oil (you can get it a health food sotre) and use a Q-tip to apply it to the zit. However, if you have oily skin you shouldn't use it. Not only did it help get rid of my zits but it made my skin softer. It worked for me so I don't know what the other people are talking about.
No it does not treat zits.
ewwwww, i don't think so. crush up plain uncoated cheap aspirins and mix with water to make a thin paste. pat it on the affected areas...at bedtime. wash off in the morning...you can do this treatment daily or every other day. or just on an area that's trying to break out in zits, single zits, etc. aspirin is salycilic (sp?) acid, the same ingredient in most prescription acne lotions and creams...and so much cheaper. don't put it on areas of your skin that are really dry. it will peel off the top layer of skin...and use a good moisturizer after washing your face in the morning. i saw this on the tyra show. ;)
Uh zits are caused by oil and dirt, so i'm not sure if coconut oil would be good to treat zits. Coconut oil and vitamin e oil are used to treat blemishes. They help scars fade.

Do you like popping zits?

i know it's a weird hobby but i just love popping those little boogers lol... i was just wondering if anyone else besides me likes popping zitsDo you like popping zits?
yes.

i wash my face with warm water where the zit is, then i poke it with a sterilized pin and....SQUEEZE!!! until all the guts come out and when there is water blood stuff, I stop, press a wet (warm) cloth to my zit, then i switch to a cold cloth and clean around the zit.

then i wash my face. lolDo you like popping zits?
lol! thanks! Report Abuse

no, because they leave acne scars behind that can take a while to fade away.
if they dont hurt yeah!lol
no because it hurts and looks nasty after you pop it

but that's just my opinion

Does toothpaste really help zits??

Is it true that if you put toothpaste on zits overnight it makes them go away??Does toothpaste really help zits??
noooooooooo!Does toothpaste really help zits??
Yes but I think it depends on the toothpaste.

For me, I see overnight results using a minty white whitening toothpaste (rembrants premium white). I ran out of my whitening toothpaste and tried it using orange crest + aquafresh stripe, and nothing.

I rub my pimple with an astringent first than rub the toothpaste on, and put a dab over it... let it dry and sleep with the toothpaste on over night, when I wash my face the next morning, the pimples are flat and 60% gone.
true. toothpaste can help but not get rid of them overnight.
yes it is very good for Zits.
YES, I saw this (I think in Cosmo) and tried it, and it really worked by drying it out, I used Crest.
It works very well, but you need to make sure that you put it only on the zit. Whenever i need a quick cure i use toothpaste plus i think it works better than a zit cream and its way cheaper and you always have it in your house.
Your best bet is to go buy ZAPZYT. If you put a dab on and leave it on over night, it dries it up very quickly! The best thing out there!!!
What toothpaste does is dehydrates the pimple and absorbs the oil, sometimes leaving your skin as clear as it was before. But like other unproven methods and remedies, it does have its dangers. For one, toothpaste might not work for everybody. It could result in irritation of the skin.Overnight solutions are just too good to be true.

If you haven't already tried it there's a product called Acnefree. you can get it at Wal-mart. It's under $20. It has worked great for me it's been a month of use and not one zit!

Good Luck!
its best on white heads cause it drys them out
yes it dries them out but dont put too much on cuz that will just clog your pores and make the problem worse, just put a very thin layer

the best solution would just be an acne cream
yes it dries them up and clears them up
Yes, i tried it!!
Toothpaste has an ingredient in it which actually stimulates the growth of the zit. Think of it as feeding the zit so it grows bigger. Use products with salycic acid or benzoyl peroxide which are meant to kill bacteria on the face.
IDK but i know lemon juice does, lol, it's true, but it's also stingy
yes, that is true. Eventually they will go away within approximatly 4 to 7 days.
yes it does.. use toothpaste not the gel

I need help with zits

What are some cheep products to help dezit me? Or what are some home made ways? please and thank you.I need help with zits
* Wash your face twice a day (thrice at most) with gentle and unperfumed cleanser. Avoid using soaps as they contain harsh chemicals and ingredients that can damage your skin.

* Avoid touching your face. Stop putting your hands by your face! I am often guilty of this resting my hand on the side of my head while reading. Also rubbing or bracing your chin is another common problem when thinking. Avoid rubbing, touching, or itching your skin with your hands. Your hands contain a lot of bacteria that can cause acne flare-ups. It is probably one of the most difficult things to avoid since much of the hand to face contact throughout the day we are unconscious of. Make it a habit to avoid hand contact and be conscious of it during the day to avoid bacteria.

* Avoid the temptation to pick, prick and squeeze your acne. This will send the infection deeper into the skin and can cause severe scarring.

* For mild to moderate acne, you can use over- the- counter topical ointments, solutions, lotions or gels that contain salicylic acid or azelaic acid as an alternative to benzoyl peroxide. Resorcinol, salicylic acid, and sulfur help break down blackheads and whiteheads. Salicylic acid also helps cut down the shedding of cells lining the follicles of the oil glands.

* Topical antibiotic solutions and lotions can also be applied.

* Tea tree oil is a natural antibiotic and antibacterial agent and has a drying effect on the skin. It keeps the P. Acnes bacteria at bay along with decreasing facial oiliness, which makes this oil a worthwhile investment.

* Sulfur helps to heal existing blemishes by unblocking pores.

* Alpha or Beta Hydroxy Acids (AHA or BHA) works by keeping the skin exfoliated. Glycolic acid, the most well-known of the bunch is a useful adjuvant therapy for mild acne. Mandelic acid, a lesser known one, but one that combines the keratolytic properties of glycolic acid with natural antibacterial properties that help reduce the presence of P. acnes, may be considered a more effective alpha hydroxy acid in treating acne lesions. It is also much less irritating than glycolic acid, a factor that may be very important to those with sensitive skin who are unable to use other agents such as Retin-A, benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, or salicylic acid. It is effective in treating mild cases of acne on its own, and can be used successfully with other therapies on moderate acne.

These treatments are usually effective for mild to moderate acne problems only.

There really aren't homemade ways to treat acne if there was a true remedy we'd all be happier - and toothpaste is not for acne it's for teeth. It can actually burn your skin as it's a product for teeth not your skin.

You can invest in any generic name acne wash, toner and acne cream - at the drug stores. It's essentially the same as the name brand this just offers you a savings.

BUT you have to wash your face twice a day without fail.

Use the toner after pat drying your face

and apply acne cream.

As Denis said, Proactiv. I used it as I had a really bad case of acne and within a couple of weeks it was all but gone. You have to be careful what you put on your skin though as you dont want something to irritate the skin more or cause harm to you. I would recommend going to a dermatologist and seeing what they say.
umm, vinegar and water work. you can try that. don't do the urine thing.... i think that would be gross and it wouldn't work.

Hey, good product which is worth it, proactiv, realy does work.

homemade, some good old fluoride toothpaste on the zits every night when you sleep sometimes does the trick...

keep your face clean. try generic cetaphyl from walmart... about four bucks for a bottle. keep your hands off your face... i work in reatail with cash(money). all i have to do is collect cash, tough my face, and i have a breakout...you'd be surprised what you pick up on your hands in the course of a day! don't collect it on your hands, just to put it on your face!
try witch hazel or a low percentage of rubbing alcohol. Many products use the witch hazel as toner, as with the alcohol.
My mom always tells me to mix honey and yogurt and, put on your face. Its like a mask. After you put it on, lie down, and put a towel under your chin and keep your head up because it WILL drip. Leave it on for 5-8 minutes
    hazel witch

    just use it

it should close your pore and reduce the amount of zits you get
Vitamin A is highly beneficial in the treatment of acne. Therefore, drinking one to two wine glasses of carrot juice per day is extremely helpful. If you have a juicer, mix carrot juice with cabbage, apple, and beetroot juice. All are beneficial to the skin. Zinc is necessary for stored vitamin A in the liver to be released into the blood so if you suffer from acne, take 15 mg of zinc a day and eat pumpkin seeds which are rich in zinc. Evening Primrose oil is another valuable supplement.

Wheatgerm is rich in vitamin E and can help balance hormone production.

You can also make medicinal teas to purify the blood by using herbs such as dandelions, nettles, yellow dock, burdock root, cleavers, oregon grape root, and blue flag. To control the infection of the skin, take herbal antibiotics like purple cone flower and wild indigo.

    Hope this helps.
